The session was hands-on from hour one. We installed Claude Code, connected MCP servers to GitHub and Jira, and ran a full AIDLC workflow from ticket to code to PR. We also covered token economics, model selection, reusable skills, CLAUDE.md files for persistent context, and parallel execution using git worktrees and subagents.
The governance layer and human approval gates made the approach practical for a serious engineering organization, not just a demo.
